Kannauj, 6 Dec: Akhilesh Yadav, head of the Samajwadi Party (SP), accused the BJP of intimidating opposition groups and stated that they want to run a democracy with the support of the police.
“The BJP is using the police to run democracy and scare opposition parties. People must stand up for strengthening democracy,? he told reporters. “Mainpuri SP workers were powerful, therefore they gave a befitting reply to BJP men. They also clashed in Rampur, although there were more policeman… present. People must come forward to safeguard democracy,? added Yadav.
