Lucknow, 02 November: After Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav’s announcement of an alliance with smaller parties, there is a panic situation among the office bearers and workers of the party.

Actually, the SP workers have not forgotten the past experiences in Lok Sabha elections in 2019 as well as in UP assembly polls results in 2017. In those elections, preference was given to coalition candidates instead of dedicated party workers. In view of these circumstances, a large number of ticket claimants are in contact with other parties.

The SP chief Akhilesh Yadav has so far announced an alliance with Mahan Dal, SubhaSP and RLD.

Yadav has also indicated an alliance with his uncle Shivpal Singh Yadav’s Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party (PSP). He is also talking of joining other smaller parties.

However, these announcements by the SP chief have created confusion among the contenders for party tickets.

Apart from this, other office bearers of other parties have also been included in the party, due to which they are apprehensive that the same situation is going to repeat in the party again in 2019 and 2017 elections. That is why SP workers have started trying their hands in other parties for tickets.

Senior journalist and political analyst Ajay Kumar said that Netaji (Mulayam Singh Yadav) is not active and a huge impact has been made by the death of SRS Yadav. Akhilesh Yadav does not give as much time to the workers as Netaji and Shivpal used to give. The team of sycophants does not convey the right thing or the point of common workers to Akhilesh. No one considers Naresh Uttam Patel as a leader.

He further told that the SP workers from the alliance will not support the candidates of other parties. The probability of that is high. At present the vote bank is with BJP, BSP and SP, whether SP’s vote bank will be displaced or not, time will tell. Where the ticket of the main contenders of SP will be cut, the SP is sure to suffer in those seats.

BJP state minister Chandramohan said that the SP chief has seen the results of alliances twice before, people have repeatedly rejected him. People are going to reject him even in 2022 elections. That’s why there is a stampede in SP. Party leaders also know that the Yogi government is coming again.
