All India Institute of Ayurveda to research on benefits of tea, signs MoU with AYCL

New Delhi, 20 December: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed with All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA) and Andrew Yule & Company Limited (AYCL) here on Wednesday for research on the benefits of tea.

A postage stamp was also released on the occasion of completion of one year of Goa Sub Center of All India Institute of Ayurveda in a program organized at Parivahan Bhawan.

On this occasion, Union AYUSH Minister Sarbananda Sonowal said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India will be among the top three countries by the year 2047. We will become a self-reliant country, the Ministry of AYUSH is making its best efforts in this direction.

Minister Sonowal said that AIIA is moving towards becoming the best. Quality is determined for a better overall health care system in the institute. AIIA has established its identity globally. Spread over a sprawling campus of 50 acres, AIIA Goa has been designed on par with its counterpart in Delhi. Its mission is to provide advanced preventive, diagnostic and tertiary health care facilities.

He said that AIIA satellite center is ready to play an important role in promoting medical tourism in the field of Ayurveda.

On this occasion, Minister of State Dr Munjapara Mahendrabhai, Secretary Rajesh Kotecha, AIIA Director Tanuja Manoj Nesari, AIIA Goa Dean Professor Sujata Kadam, Indian Post DG Smita Kumar and RS Manku, CMD, Andrew Yule were present.
