Ranchi, June 2: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann had a formal meeting with Hemant Soren at the Chief Minister’s residence in Ranchi on Friday. After this, all three jointly talked to the journalists.
Kejriwal said that we have a brotherly relationship with Hemant Soren. We discussed many topics among ourselves. He said that the Narendra Modi government at the Centre had taken away many powers from us, but on May 11, the Supreme Court returned all those powers to the elected government of Delhi. After this, by issuing an ordinance in the dark of night on May 19, the Modi government overturned the order of the Supreme Court.
This ordinance will be introduced in Parliament in the monsoon session. All opposition parties will have to unite against this. Kejriwal called the centre’s ordinance an injustice to the people of Delhi. It was also said that what the central government did was an insult to the people of Delhi. Kejriwal said that if all non-BJP members unite in the Rajya Sabha, then the BJP can be defeated in the Rajya Sabha. Because what has happened to Delhi today can happen to other states tomorrow. That’s why this ordinance will have to be strongly opposed.
The Delhi CM claimed that he was getting support from all parties. Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren has also assured them that they will extend their support to the Aam Aadmi Party’s fight against this ordinance of the Modi government from Parliament to the road. I thank Hemant on behalf of the people of Delhi. I also thank the people of Jharkhand.
Kejriwal’s campaign will be successful: Hemant Soren
Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that the central government is attacking non-BJP-ruled states. He will discuss this topic at the party. Dishome will also discuss with Guru Shibu Soren what steps should be taken next. Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) working president Soren said that Baba Bhimrao Ambedkar would fight vigorously to save the democracy that he had given us. Will ensure the role of all people in this.
Soren said that the matter is being discussed with all the states. People from Jharkhand also live in Delhi. There are people from Bihar too. There are people from UP, Kerala, and Maharashtra. The people’s representatives of the whole country live in Delhi. Such a decision will affect the whole country in the years to come.
He stated, it will prove to be very painful for 80 percent of the people in the country who come from farmers and villages in our country. A political fight is necessary given the efforts being made to impose laws on Kejriwal and the steps taken by Kejriwal ji. I hope that this campaign is successful.
Hemant Soren said that the way the elected government is being disempowered is the beginning of a new tradition and a big attack on the country’s unity in diversity. The central government talks about the federal structure, but the work is opposite to that, which is not an ally of the centre; they are being treated like this in the states.
He added, just a few days ago, the country’s temple of democracy, the Lok Sabha, was inaugurated, but many other incidents also took place at a short distance from the same temple, so it is not just an attack on non-BJP governments but an attack on the people of the country.
We have to unite to save democracy: Bhagwant Mann
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that both Jharkhand Mukti Morcha and the Aam Aadmi Party are parties that came out of the movement, so we need another movement. To save democracy and elections, we are not opposition but patriots, and we have to unite.
He said that we have not brought up any personal problems. This is a campaign to save the democracy that is being murdered in this country. Last few days, we saw that our wrestlers had gone to Haridwar to shed their won Mandal in Ganga Ji. If no solution is found to this, then next time they will go to immerse their ashes. The BJP has been killing democracy. If she does not win the election, she breaks the people who have won.
