Petitioner’s lawyer raised questions on the role of the commission

Demand to register FIR and get it investigated by CBI

High Court will hear again on September 30

Prayagraj, September 14: The Allahabad High Court has once again sought a reply from the state government on the recommendation made by the Commission in the case of irregularities in the answer sheets of Public Service Commission’s PCS J 2022 mains examination.

The court has asked the government what decision has the government taken on the recommendation of the commission to exclude the two previously selected candidates from the selection and include two new candidates in the selection. The court has given time to the state government to file a reply on this.

On the demand raised for CBI investigation and registration of FIR, the court has asked to respond to the amendment application submitted by the petitioning candidate. A reply has been specifically sought on the demand made in the petition to get the investigation done by the CBI and register an FIR. The court has also said that as long as the hearing of the case is going on, all the records related to this examination should be kept safe.

The division bench of Justice SD Singh and Justice D Ramesh, hearing the petition of Shravan Pandey, has fixed the date of 30 September for the next hearing of the case. The counsel for the petitioner said that this is a big scam.

Senior advocate S F A Naqvi, representing the petitioner, raised many questions on the role of the commission before the court. He said that the commission had earlier accepted the irregularities in 50 answer sheets. But now this number is increasing. Two of those candidates have filed a petition in the High Court, while the commission itself has recommended the selection of two. Many other candidates are also preparing to file a petition. This shows that this number is much more than the number being told by the commission. The commission had earlier asked to cancel the results of seven people. But later released a list of six and finally recommended the selection of only two candidates. The commission is constantly changing its stand.

Two other candidates also reached the court.

During the hearing, advocates on behalf of two other candidates also mentioned in the court that they are also filing a petition. On this, the court said that their petition will be considered after it is filed, while the petition of two other candidates other than Shravan Pandey was heard.

Earlier, the High Court had raised questions on the recommendation of the commission to revise the result itself and exclude two candidates from the selection and include two in the selection. The court wanted to know from where the commission gets this power and if it is so, then it needs to be considered seriously. An affidavit was filed in the High Court on behalf of the commission.

However, the state government demanded more time. On which the court has directed to hear the case on September 30 and asked the state government to file a reply.
