New Delhi, 16 August: The Supreme Court has released a handbook to prevent the use of ‘conservative’ words used for women in the judicial process.
This handbook, titled ‘Combating Gender Stereotype’, has a list of such words used for women and better words that can be used in their place.
Chief Justice DY Chandrachud said that lawyers in their arguments and judges in their judgements would be able to take advantage of this handbook to use better words for women.
