ARTO Saumya Pandey attached to Lucknow HQ for defying orders, bribery

Lucknow, 05 November: Ghazipur’s Assistant Regional Transport Officer Saumya Pandey has been attached to the Transport Head Office. Saumya Pandey did not reach the spot during the inspection of Transport Minister Dayashankar Singh. Saumya, who was accused of not following the minister’s orders and in a case of corruption, was transferred.

Transport Minister Dayashankar Singh had left for Lucknow from Ballia a few days ago. Then the Transport Minister saw overloaded trucks in Kasimabad of Ghazipur, so he stopped and inspected. During this, the truck drivers and employees kept avoiding saying anything. Then Assistant Regional Transport Officer Saumya was asked to reach the spot but she did not reach.

In another case, Saumya Pandey was accused of demanding a bribe of fifty thousand rupees by truck operator Pankaj. In which it was told that Saumya Pandey is demanding bribe through her personal driver. The Transport Headquarters ordered an investigation into the matter.

After the Transport Headquarters ordered an investigation, all the points were thoroughly investigated. In which Assistant Regional Transport Officer Saumya and her personal driver Satyendra were found involved in demanding bribe and corruption. After the report came, Saumya was transferred from Ghazipur.
