New Delhi, 13 Oct: Flight resonates with ‘Vande Mataram’ as Indians return from Israel, informed sources on Friday.

The first part of Operation Ajay was successfully completed when a special chartered flight touched down in New Delhi in the early hours of October 13.

The Indian government launched the operation to repatriate Indian people caught up in the increasing violence between Israel and Hamas. The airplane transported 212 Indians, including students, who were stuck in Israel due to the ongoing conflict.

Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar was at the Delhi airport to greet the returning citizens.

Despite the stressful circumstances in Israel, the passengers expressed relief and thankfulness for the easy departure process. Operation Ajay is still ongoing, with the Indian Armed Forces ready to send naval ships if necessary to secure the safe return of those Indians who choose to return home.
