Kanpur, 20 October: Meteorologist Dr S.N. Sunil Pandey of Chandrashekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur has given the latest information about the weather on Friday.
He told that with the decrease in night temperature, the cold in the morning and evening will also increase. The sky will remain clear for the next five days.
He said that the maximum temperature on Friday was 31.0 degrees Celsius, which is below normal. Similarly, the minimum temperature has reached 15.7 degrees Celsius. It has also gone below normal (-2.2 degrees Celsius). Similarly, the maximum relative humidity was 87 percent and the minimum relative humidity reached 40 percent. The average wind speed was 03 kilometers per hour and the wind direction was north-west.
The meteorologist said that easterly and north-easterly winds are establishing over the Bay of Bengal. Therefore, we expect Northeast Monsoon to hit any time in the next 24 to 48 hours. The low pressure area over the southeast and adjoining east central Arabian Sea has transformed into a deep low pressure area over the southwest Arabian Sea.
He said, the associated cyclonic circulation extends to mid-tropospheric levels. It is likely to move in a west-northwest direction and become a depression by the afternoon of October 20. Under the influence of the cyclonic circulation over the southeast Bay of Bengal, a low pressure area has formed over the southwest Bay of Bengal and the associated cyclonic circulation extends up to the mid-tropospheric level.
It is likely to intensify into depression in the next two to three days. A cyclonic circulation has formed over Mizoram. Another cyclonic circulation is over the Comorin area and extends up to 5.8 km above sea level. The fresh western disturbance is likely to reach northwest India from the night of October 21.
