Lucknow, June 23: The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh is going to take forward its campaign to digitally activate the council schools of the state. In this sequence, instructions have been issued to digitalize all 12 types of registers of council schools across the state as well as mark the attendance of teachers and students digitally.
Under this, along with the students, teachers will also have to mark their attendance on the tablet through face recognition system (by showing face). This process will be implemented in the entire state from July 15.
The Yogi government has been insisting on digitalizing all types of work in council schools for a long time. Under this, a digital module has been prepared on the Prerna portal to digitalize all 12 types of registers of these schools. Not only this, tablets and SIM cards have also been provided to schools for digital attendance.
‘Digital Registers’ module developed on Prerna portal
Director General, School Education Kanchan Verma has instructed the Basic Education Officers of all districts to get all the registers of council schools filled through digital medium only. Attendance, admission, class wise student attendance, mid day meal, integrated free material distribution, stock, income-adult and check issue, meeting, inspection, correspondence, child census and library and sports registers have been digitalized. A new module named Digital Registers has been developed on Prerna portal for simplification of registers and use through technology based digital medium. The digital format of the registers has been prepared in accordance with the physical registers currently being used. Accordingly, now all entries will be recorded on the digital platform only.
Tablets are being made available to schools.
Teacher attendance register is also included in the 12 digital registers. In such a situation, all the teachers and personnel working in the school will have to register their attendance digitally every day. In this, the time from arrival to departure from school will be recorded. Attendance will not be valid after the stipulated time. Tablets and smartphones will be identified through geofencing and it will be mandatory for the teachers and the headmaster to be present in the school premises while registering attendance on the portal. Similarly, daily attendance of all students studying will be marked on the class wise student attendance register. Attendance time for students will be recorded from 8 am to 9 am from April 1 to September 30 and from 9 am to 10 am from October 1 to March 31. Attendance will be marked from 7.30 am to 8.30 am till further orders.
Apart from this, during the enrollment of children, their complete details can be recorded in the digital registration register. It will contain the student’s name, gender, date of birth, parents’ details, Aadhaar number etc.
Upon enrollment, a unique identification number will be provided by the system, which will be recorded in the digital register by the headmaster.
