Rampur, 18 October: The MP-MLA court of Rampur, Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday sentenced SP leader Azam Khan, his wife Tanzin Fatima and son Abdullah Azam to seven years imprisonment each. Apart from this, fine has also been imposed.
BJP leader Akash Saxena had filed a case against the Azam Khan family in the year 2019 in the two birth certificate case. The police took action and submitted their report before the court.
In this case, Azam had reached the court with his wife Tanzeem and son Abdullah.
Additional Advocate General Anil Pratap Singh said that after hearing all the arguments and evidence, the court has sentenced all three to seven years’ imprisonment.
After this, the police have taken all three into custody and started taking further action.
