Azamgarh, 13 November: Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who arrived to perform Bhoomi Pujan and to lay foundation stone of the state university at SP stronghold Azamgarh, lashed out at the Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav ( He is MP Azamgarh presently) here on Saturday.
He said that the previous governments had made Azamgarh a haven of terrorism but the present Yogi government has done the work of building the temple of Maa Saraswati here today. Yogi government has done the work of making the state mosquito and mafia free.
Addressing the public meeting, Shah said that this is the beginning of change, the Azamgarh which was used as a den of anti-national activities. The youth from that district will get educated and will get name and fame in the country and they will get employment.
State University to be named after Maharaja Suheldev
Amit Shah told Chief Minister Yogi that he wanted to give a suggestion that Maharaj Suheldev had done the work of driving away foreign invaders from Uttar Pradesh. Therefore this state university should be named after Maharaja Suheldev.
He further stated that ten new universities would be built as promised in the manifesto of the year 2017 and today it is happy that the work of setting up the tenth university in Azamgarh has been completed.
Shah said we promised to build 30 medical colleges which was fulfilled whereas ten medical colleges were built in 70 years. Apart from this, many colleges were opened, he said. Many higher education centers were played. The physical library was opened.
He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi brought the new education policy, it is the work of Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan to implement it.
Major reforms happened in Uttar Pradesh in five years
Home Minister Amit Shah said that a lot of change has happened in Uttar Pradesh in five years under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Earlier casteism, familism, appeasement used to run here. Not everyone used to get justice, but the Chief Minister of the state Yogi Adityanath has now put a complete stop to it. Earlier Uttar Pradesh was in sixth place in terms of economy, today it is second. The GDP of the state was ten lakh 90 thousand crores earlier. Today 21 crores is of 31 thousand crores.
Adding further during public gathering, Shah said the unemployment rate was 70.5. Now it is 4.01 percent while reducing it. Medical colleges were ten today is 40. Today, the work of buying food grains of the farmers is being done.
โEarlier there were four airports in the state, today it has become eight. Earlier there were two half-finished expressways, today five new ones have been built. All this happened in the government of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in five years and the biggest work that has been done in Uttar Pradesh is to get rid of Mafia Raj,โ Shah said.
People were migrating from Kairana, girls were not getting higher education, Shah said adding further, he said that today they are saying with full pride that in Uttar Pradesh there is no rule of mafia but the rule of law. A large number of government lands were freed from the mafia. Today, not only houses were built for lakhs of poor, but electricity, toilets, five lakh health insurance cards were given. Now pure water will also be provided in every house.
He said along with this, the Prime Minister has done the work of giving a big defense corridor in Uttar Pradesh.
Akhilesh Yadav started praising the great Jinnah as assembly elections arrive.
Shah further said that as the election is in offing. Jinnah started looking great to SP’s national president Akhilesh Yadav. He asked the minority community sitting in the crowd that any person sitting here sees greatness in Jinnah. He said that Akhilesh Yadav is giving a certificate to the Yogi government that he has freed both mosquito and mafia from Purvanchal.
He said that the people of the UP made Modi the Prime Minister twice and Modi has also gone from UP in the Parliament. He chooses to go from Kashi and he did the work of liberating 60 crore poor. SP, BSP and Congress used to say that the temple will be built there but they will not tell the date. Today you gave authority again and Modi became the Prime Minister.
He said under the leadership of Modi ji, work is being done to lay the foundation stone of a grand Ram temple on the same land of Ayodhya. A grand Ram temple will be built there. PM Modi has fulfilled the dream of building a temple of Lord Ram for crores of Indians around the world.
To make Yogi CM again, all the seats of Azamgarh are needed.
Amit Shah said that he kept complaining to the people of Azamgarh in three elections that the BJP didnot get any seat from here in the assembly but this time I have come to urge that apart from the BJP, you should make such a system that nobody’s account should be opened. BJP needs one seat each in Azamgarh. Yogi Adityanath needs a seat to make him the chief minister again.
