Deoria, 7 Oct: On Friday evening, the authorities sent an eviction notice from government land at the home of five defendants, including Prem Yadav, identified in the Fatehpur village mass murder case in Ledha Tola.
Along with imposing a fine on the accused, the accused has been granted one day till Saturday to respond through notice.
It has been said that if the government land is not abandoned within the specified time frame, a bulldozer will be employed. There was a commotion in the village when the notice was pasted. Prem Yadav was fined Rs 31 thousand for building a home on government property, while four other offenders were fined Rs 39 thousand. The fine must be deposited by Saturday.
According to the lekhpal, these accused had erected a home on government land.
Following this, a complaint was filed at the Tehsildar Court under Section 67-1 against five suspects, including the father of former District Panchayat member Prem Yadav. Bulldozers can demolish these five dwellings at any moment after the notice is pasted.
According to the Lekhpal investigation, five people’s residences in Fatehpur village’s Abhaypur Tola, including Rambhavan Yadav and Paramhans Yadav, the father of former District Panchayat member Prem Yadav, are erected on government property. This covers forest department land as well as intercollegiate land. When this information was obtained during the investigation following the mass murder, the administration began the process of taking action.
The inhabitants of the village were astonished when the eviction process from government land began on Friday. Tehsil personnel posted notices on the homes of five persons in the evening, including Ram Bhavan Yadav, Paramhans Yadav, and Gorakh Yadav, the father of former District Panchayat member Prem Yadav.
The action of bulldozing the residences of Prem and other defendants listed in the mass murder case at Fatehpur village’s Ledha Tola was scheduled on October 4, but it was postponed owing to legal issues.
The accused was not served with a notice under Section 67. As a result, the bulldozer had to return. This procedure is now complete. It is now assumed that the bulldozer will move at any time.
