NEW DELHI, 13 November: Bangalore still leads the country in terms of job opportunities and salary growth. The average salary here has increased by 9.3 percent compared to last year. This increase underlines the city’s long-standing reputation as a technology and business hub. The average monthly unified salary in Bangalore is Rs 29,500, making it the highest paying city in the country. Unified salary refers to aggregated salary in temporary and permanent jobs in the same role.
The country’s leading staffing group TeamLease Services has released this report for 23-24 after studying several cities in employment, employability and ease of doing business.
The report analyzed the integrated salary in permanent and temporary job markets to provide valuable insights into the trends of selected cities and industries. It said that Bangalore was followed by Chennai and Delhi, where salary growth of 7.5 percent and 7.3 percent respectively was recorded.
The average monthly salary in Chennai has gone up to Rs 24,500 and in Delhi to Rs 27,800. Mumbai and Ahmedabad have also seen good salary growth, reaffirming their importance as major job hubs. The average salary in Mumbai is Rs 25,100, while in Pune it is Rs 24,700.
This maintains competitive salary levels in both metros. Salary growth in these cities has ranged from 4 per cent to 10 per cent, with average monthly salaries ranging between Rs 21,300 and Rs 29,500.
