Barabanki police lodges rape case on court’s order

Barabanki, 18 December: The Barabanki Police of Mohammadpur Khala police station have registered a rape case on the court’s order and started investigation, police said.

The case is of Redhari Bairanamau Manjhari village of Mohammadpur Khala police station. A resident of this village has alleged that in the case that has been registered after court’s order that on July 30, he had gone to Fatehpur to call his sister. His wife was sleeping alone in the house. At night, his father entered the house and raped her twice by forcefully gagging her mouth. On returning home the next day, his wife told him about the incident.

The victim’s husband told that he gave an application to Suratganj police station but the police did not take any action nor sent her to the hospital for treatment. The victim somehow got medicine from the medical store and got treatment.

According to the husband, the victim was called by the police of Suratganj station for three-four days but no action was taken. So, on receiving the complaint, the police of Mohammadpur Khala police station sent them back to the police post, where the inspector said, take the money and settle the matter, otherwise, we will put both of you in jail.

The husband of the rape victim has alleged that after that they approached the court, only then an inquiry was ordered. After this, her angry father, along with his brother, entered the house and beat her up while abusing her.

Police station in-charge Mohammadpur Khala said that, on the orders of the court, a case has been registered and investigation has been started.
