New Delhi, July 19: The Supreme Court has given relief to the suspended BJP leader Nupur Sharma. The Supreme Court has issued notice to the concerned states and the central government on the demand to transfer the FIRs registered in 8 states to Delhi in the case of remarks on Prophet Mohammad.

A bench headed by Justice Surya Kant considered that Nupur’s life was in danger. The next hearing of the case will be on August 10 and till then Nupur’s arrest will be stayed.

During the hearing, advocate Maninder Singh, appearing for Nupur Sharma, said that many new incidents have happened. There is talk of conspiracy from Pakistan. Some people have been caught in Patna, who were plotting to kill Nupur. It will not be possible for Nupur to go to court in every state.

Then Justice Suryakant said whether these things have happened recently. Then Maninder Singh said that yes, the danger has increased.

The court said that it was not our intention that you have to go to every court. We will make some changes to the order. Then Maninder Singh said that it would be appropriate. Now 4-5 FIRs have been registered in West Bengal. Then the court said that it is fine but you want a place of your choice.

Maninder Singh said that the first case was registered in Delhi. Then the court said that we had talked about going to the High Court to get the case quashed. Now you are telling that this will not be possible. So you would like to go to Delhi High Court.

Then Maninder said that the arrest should also be stopped. Maninder Singh quoted the judgment of Arnab Goswami and TT Antony case.

The court said that we had asked you to take alternative legal avenues but our concern is that you are not in a position to use them. We will solve it.

In the new petition, Nupur Sharma has sought a stay on her arrest. Nupur Sharma has said that earlier, rejecting my demand, the Supreme Court made a strong remark. More danger to my life has increased. Rape and murder threats are being received.
