New Delhi, August 27: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has attacked Mamta Banerjee and called her a dictator for suppressing the students’ protest to get justice for the victim of the RG Kar Medical College-Hospital incident in West Bengal.
The BJP said that the students are exercising their constitutional rights to demand justice, but Mamta Banerjee is trying to suppress the voice of the students. In apress conference held at the BJP headquarters on Tuesday, National Spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia said that the way Mamta Banerjee has tried to suppress the voice of the students is worrying and is tearing the Constitution to shreds. It is clear that if there is a dictator anywhere in the country, it is Mamta Banerjee.
He said that a heinous crime is committed against a female doctor in RG Kar Medical College-Hospital, but Mamta Banerjee is busy protecting the accused. She has failed to provide security to women.
He said that when students protest against this incident, the police use water cannons to stop them. Big containers are placed as if they are the accused. Mamata Banerjee’s government has protected the rapists, destroyed evidence and suppressed the voice of truth, for which the Supreme Court and High Court have reprimanded her. Now once again when students, doctors and common citizens are taking out ‘Nabanna Chalo Abhiyan’ to demand justice for the daughter, Mamata Banerjee’s government is blocking the roads.Law and order is completely destroyed in the state. For a fair investigation of this incident, the Chief Minister should resign, the truth should come out. All of them should be subjected to polygraph test. As long as these people are in their posts, they will keep tearing the Constitution to pieces. BJP will not tolerate this and will keep opposing injustice from every platform.
