New Delhi, March 24: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has released the fifth list of candidates for the Lok Sabha elections.Â
The list released on Sunday includes the names of 111 candidates. Actress Kangana Ranaut has been made candidate from Mandi in Himachal Pradesh and Arun Govil, who played the role of Ram in Ramayana, from Meerut.Â
With this, Naveen Jindal, who joined BJP from Congress today, has been made the candidate from Kurukshetra. In the list of candidates released on Sunday, 06 from Andhra Pradesh, 15 from Bihar, 01 from Goa, 06 from Gujarat, 04 from Haryana, 02 from Himachal Pradesh, 03 from Jharkhand, 04 from Karnataka, 03 from Kerala, 03 from Maharashtra, 03 from Mizoram. These include 01, 18 from Odisha, 07 from Rajasthan, one from Sikkim, 02 from Telangana, 13 from Uttar Pradesh and 19 from West Bengal.
In this list of BJP, Hemant Soren’s sister-in-law Sita Soren is from Dumka, Ravi Shankar Prasad from Patna Sahib, Giriraj Singh from Begusarai, Dharmendra Pradhan from Sambhalpur, Pratap Sarangi from Balasore, Sambit Patra from Puri, Maneka Gandhi from Sultanpur and Jitin Prasad from Pilibhit.
BJP declared candidates on 13 seats of Uttar Pradesh
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Central Election Committee released the list of candidates for 13 Lok Sabha seats of Uttar Pradesh on Sunday evening before Holi for the Lok Sabha elections 2024. Tickets of many sitting MPs have been cut in this list.
Raghav Lakhanpal from Saharanpur, Sarvesh Singh from Moradabad and Arun Govil, who played the role of Ram in the Ramayana serial, have got the ticket from Meerut seat. Cutting the ticket of General VK Singh from Ghaziabad, Atul Garg has been fielded. Satish Gautam from Tala Nagri Aligarh, Anoop Valmiki from Hathras (SC), BJP has given ticket to Durvijay Singh Shakya in front of Samajwadi Party candidate Shivpal Yadav from Badaun seat.Â
In Bareilly also, Chhatrapal Singh Gangwar has got ticket from Santosh Gangwar, PWD Minister in Yogi government Jitin Prasad has got ticket from Pilibhit Lok Sabha seat. BJP High Command has once again approved Maneka Gandhi from Sultanpur.Â
However, there was talk in political circles that his seat would be changed. In a major upset in the ticket from Kanpur, BJP has given a big opportunity to senior journalist Ramesh Awasthi to establish his foot in active politics by canceling the ticket of sitting MP Satyadev Pachauri. Ticket has been given to Rajrani Rawat from Barabanki (SC) seat and Dr. Arvind Gond from Bahraich (SC).
