New Delhi, August 20: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced the names of nine candidates of the party for the upcoming Rajya Sabha by-elections to be held in eight states including Assam. The party will now send Ravneet Singh Bittu and Kiran Chaudhary, who left Congress and joined BJP, to Rajya Sabha.
On Tuesday, BJP’s Central Election Committee has approved the names of Mission Ranjan Das and Rameshwar Teli for two Rajya Sabha seats from Assam.
According to the list released by BJP General Secretary Arun Singh, the names of Manan Kumar Mishra from Bihar, Kiran Chaudhary, who joined BJP from Congress in Haryana, George Kurien from Madhya Pradesh, Dhairyasheel Patil from Maharashtra, Mamta Mohanta from Odisha, Ravneet Singh Bittu from Rajasthan, Rajiv Bhattacharya from Tripura have been approved.
