Delhi, 11 January: Veteran BJP leader L K Advani, who played a crucial role in the Ram temple agitation, has confirmed his attendance at the consecration ceremony of the temple in Ayodhya on January 22, as announced by VHP president Alok Kumar.
However, it still remains uncertain whether party veteran Murli Manohar Joshi will be present at the ceremony or not.
In a statement, Kumar mentioned that Advani has assured his presence and special arrangements will be made for him if needed.
Advani, now 96 years old, was one of the founding members of the BJP and along with Joshi, played a significant role in the Ram temple movement in the early 1990s.
Joshi, who is also a founding member of the BJP, has not yet confirmed his attendance at the ceremony.
The presence of these stalwarts at such an important event holds great significance for the party and its followers, as it marks the culmination of a long-standing battle for the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya.
