New Delhi, 14 January: The Budget Session of Parliament will begin from January 31, 2022, and will continue till April 8. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Union Budget for the financial year 2022-23 on February 1.
According to information received on Friday by the Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs (CCPA), the Central Committee on Parliamentary Affairs recommended convening the first phase of the budget session of Parliament from January 31 to February 11, 2022 and the second phase from March 14 to April 8, 2022.
The budget session will begin with President Ram Nath Kovind’s address to the members of both the houses. The budget session of the Parliament will continue till April 8, 2022.
During the budget session of Parliament, there will be a one-month holiday from February 12, while the second phase of the budget session will start from March 14, which will run till April 8, 2022.
Meanwhile, Legislative Assembly elections will be held for 5 states including Uttar Pradesh and the results will come on March 15, the effect of which will be visible in the second phase.
