The results will come on November 23 for all the seats.

With the announcement of the election, the political parties have intensified their churning.

Except the Sisamau seat in Kanpur, all the other seats

are vacant due to the MLAs being elected as MPs in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. However , the Election Commission has not yet made any announcement regarding the most famous Milkipur assembly seat of Ayodhya district .

Out of the nine seats in Uttar Pradesh where by-elections have been announced,

Samajwadi Party MLAs were elected in 2022 in Seesamau, Karahal, Katehri, Kunderki seats. One seat, Mirapur, was won

by Chandan Chauhan of RLD in alliance with SP .

However, RLD joined the NDA alliance in the Lok Sabha elections. In this regard, by-elections are being held on five seats of NDA alliance and four seats of SP. The ruling party and the opposition, at least, would like to maintain their old position.

Samajwadi Party National President Akhilesh Yadav won the 2022 Vidhan Sabha election from Karahal Vidhan Sabha seat. He was elected MP from Mainpuri in the Lok Sabha elections . After this this seat became vacant.

All eyes are on the candidates from both sides in the Karhal seat . Praveen Patel was elected

MLA from Phulpur assembly seat of Prayagraj on BJP ticket .

The party has nominated him from Phulpur parliamentary constituency in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. This seat became vacant after his election as MP. Now

the BJP will want to retain its victory in the by-election in this seat . Manoj Kumar Bind, candidate of Nishad Party from NDA in 2022, won

the seat of Mirzapur’s Majhwan Vidhan Sabha .

Bind MP was elected.

This seat fell vacant after Atul Garg, the BJP MLA from Ghaziabad, became an MP

. This seat is being considered as BJP’s stronghold.

Rashtriya Lok Dal’s Chandan Chauhan

won the 2022 Legislative Assembly elections from Mirapur assembly seat in Muzaffarnagar. Ralod SP

had a coalition in that election. In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, RLD formed an alliance with the BJP and the party leadership

nominated Chandan Chauhan as its candidate from the Bijnor Lok Sabha seat. Chandan recorded the win.

This seat became vacant after he became an MP.

After SP MLA Ziaur Rehman was elected MP from Sambhal, Kunder’s

Legislative Assembly seat became vacant. SP is considered to have a special grip on this seat.

By-elections are being held after Anup Balmiki, MLA from Aligarh’s Khair Vidhan Sabha seat, was elected MP from Hathras in 2024 . SP’s Lalji Verma was MLA from Katehri Legislative Assembly of Ambedkarnagar.

He was elected MP in the Lok Sabha elections. This seat has become vacant after

Irfan Solanki, the MLA from Kanpur’s Seesamau seat, was sentenced to seven years .

BJP is trying to bring this seat to its account
