Lucknow, March 10: So far, 19 important proposals have been approved in the cabinet meeting of Yogi government. After the meeting held in Lok Bhavan on Monday, Finance and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Suresh Khanna said that a total of 19 proposals were discussed and all have been approved unanimously. These proposals include many important decisions related to health, education, transport, urban development and employee welfare.
In the meeting, land transfer for the establishment of a medical college in the name of freedom fighter Chittu Pandey in Ballia, land transfer for the first and second corridors of Agra Metro Rail Project, expansion of Smart City Scheme and time limit for wheat purchase at the support price fixed by the Central Government have been decided.
The cabinet has also taken a big decision regarding stamps. It has been decided to phase out physical stamp papers worth Rs 10,000 to Rs 25,000. Now e-stamps will be used in their place. In this regard, stamps worth more than Rs 5,630 crore will be bid out. The old stamps will be valid till March 31, 2025. After that they will not be accepted. This decision has been taken to bring transparency in the stamp system and prevent irregularities.
Wheat will be purchased from March 17 to June 15
The support price of wheat for the Rabi marketing year 2025-26 has been declared by the Central Government as Rs 2,425 per quintal. In the same sequence, wheat will be purchased in Uttar Pradesh from March 17 to June 15, for which about 6,500 purchase centers will be set up across the state by a total of eight agencies including the marketing branch of the Food Department.
Medical college will be established in Ballia in the name of freedom fighter Chittu Pandey
In the cabinet meeting, the free transfer of 14.05 acres of land was approved for the establishment of a medical college in Ballia district. This land has been transferred from the district jail to the Medical Education Department. The medical college will be constructed on 12.39 acres of land, while the statue of freedom fighter late Chittu Pandey is located on the remaining about two acres of land, which has been decided to be beautify. The medical college will also be named after Chittu Pandey.
Land transferred for nursing college in Bulandshahr
For the establishment of a nursing college in Bulandshahr, it has been decided to transfer 4,570 square meters of land registered in the name of the Government Agricultural School to the Medical Education Department free of cost. This land is located in village Walipur. It is noteworthy that nursing colleges are being established in 27 autonomous medical colleges of the state. Till now land was not available for nursing college in the Autonomous State Medical College, Bulandshahr campus.
Way cleared for Obs & Gynae block in Saifai Medical
In the cabinet meeting, administrative and financial approval has been given for the construction of Obs & Gynae block in Uttar Pradesh Medical University located in Saifai (Etawah). Pediatric block has also been included in the 300-bed hospital. For this, the cabinet has approved the financial and administrative proposal of Rs 23,217.17 lakh. It is an important initiative towards strengthening medical education and health services.
Land transfer for Agra Metro Rail Project
For the first corridor of Agra Metro Rail Project of UP Metro Rail Corporation Limited, 8,684.68 square meters of land of the Horticulture and Food Processing Department has been transferred free of cost to the Housing and Urban Planning Department. At the same time, 20,753 square meters of land of the Home Department has also been given free of cost to the Housing and Urban Planning Department for the second corridor. The Housing and Urban Planning Department will transfer the land to the Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation at a token price of one rupee on a lease of 90 years and with provisions for renewal for 30-30 years. State Smart City Mission Scheme gets two-year extension
The decision to extend the State Smart City Scheme for two years has been taken in the cabinet meeting. This scheme will be applicable to all 17 municipal corporations of the state. Earlier this scheme was for five years, but now it is being extended under the State Smart City Mission. The central government had selected 10 smart cities in the state in 2019-20, while the state government had also included seven cities, Ghaziabad, Meerut, Firozabad, Ayodhya, Mathura-Vrindavan, Shahjahanpur and Gorakhpur in it. This expansion will give new impetus to urban development.
New industries will be set up on closed spinning mills
In the Yogi cabinet meeting, approval has been given to transfer 451.20 acres of land of closed spinning mills of UP Cooperative Spinning Mills Association Limited Kanpur under PACFED Group to UPSIDA for industrial use free of cost. Among the closed units of UP Cooperative Spinning Mills Association Limited Kanpur, it has been decided to transfer 71.02 acres of land in Mahmudabad (Sitapur), 55.31 acres in Fatehpur, 85.24 acres in Mauaima (Prayagraj), 78.92 acres in Bahadurganj (Ghazipur), 82.15 acres in Kampil (Farrukhabad) and 78.56 acres in Bulandshahr to UPSIDA. Land transferred for setting up DTIS in Lucknow node of Defense Corridor
In the cabinet meeting, approval has been given to transfer 0.8 hectares of land free of cost to SPV for setting up DTIS under Lucknow node of Defense Industrial Corridor. Maharshi Dadhichi Kund will be rejuvenated
In the cabinet meeting, approval has been given to transfer 0.850 hectares of barren category government land to the Tourism Department free of cost for tourism development around Maharishi Dadhi Kund in village Dahi of Tehsil Sadar Pargana Gopamau of Hardoi. Apart from this, a decision was also taken in the meeting to give the benefit of Seventh Pay Commission to seven employees working in Science and Technology Council for 25 years like the council personnel.
