Lucknow, February 14: National Security Act (NSA) has been slapped against Kafeell Khan for giving anti-national speech in Aligarh Muslim Uniiversity (AMU).
Though, ย Kafeel is currently lodged in the Aligarh Jail and was granted bail by the CJM Court and he was scheduled to come out of jail very soon, but on Friday morning he was informed that NSA has been imposed upon him so now he will have to remain in jail until he gets bail in NSA case.
Kafeel Khan’s name surfaced in the case on December 12 in Aligarh Muslim University during a protest against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA). STF was put in place to arrest Kafeel Khan and after searching for Kafeel, STF sleuths arrested him from Mumbai.
He was then produced before the Aligarh court and since then he is lodged in the Aligarh jail. However, on the recommendation of the District Magistrate, a case under NSA has been filed against Kafeel in the Police Line Station on Friday.
