Delhi, 4 March: A Bangladeshi national named Faruk Mulla was recently deported from Russia after being caught traveling on a forged Indian passport, according to Delhi Police officials. Mulla had used the name Faruk Khan on the passport and had obtained it from Surat, Gujarat. He had flown to Russia from Delhi using the forged document but was caught by authorities and sent back to India on February 22.
Upon his arrival in India, he was immediately arrested by the Delhi Police and further interrogated. A case has been registered against Mulla under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Foreigner’s Act for cheating, forgery, and impersonation.
This incident serves as a reminder of the serious consequences of committing fraud and using fake documents, and highlights the importance of strict border control and verification processes.
