Jaipur, 5 December: Three assailants shot dead the national president of Shri Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena, Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi, in his house in the Shyam Nagar police station area of Jaipur on Tuesday afternoon, police said.
According to the police, Gogamedi was taken to Metro Mass Hospital in critical condition, where doctors declared him brought dead. Guard Ajit Singh, who was present during the incident, has also been seriously injured in this attack.
Meanwhile, one shooter also died in the firing by the guards. At present, the responsibility of this murder has been taken by Rohit Godara, associated with Lawrence Vishnai gang.
Here, after the incident, a strict blockade has been imposed by the police in Jaipur city. Police teams have been formed to catch the shooters. At present, till the time of writing this news, no clue of of their hideouts has been found.
According to the supporters of Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi told that he had been receiving threats from Uttar Pradesh and other areas for a long time. He had also received threats from Pakistan but the police did not pay any attention. As a result, Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi was killed today.

Initially they were sitting on the sofa and talking to Gogamedi but after about 10 minutes they got up and started firing, during this Gogamedi’s guard tried to save him, but attackers opened fire on him too. While leaving, a miscreant shot Gogamedi in the head.

Around 1.30 pm on Tuesday, three miscreants reached his house, initially they were sitting on the sofa and talking to Gogamedi, but after about 10 minutes they got up and started firing bullets. During the firing, when Gogamedi’s guard tried to save him, the miscreants fired at him too.
Police Commissioner told media persons that While leaving, a miscreant shot Gogamedi in the head. In the firing done by the guard, a miscreant Naveen got shot due to which he died on the spot. After the firing, a criminal came out running from the street and tried to rob a car by stopping him. He showed a pistol to the driver but the driver did not stop the car and drove away.
He added, during this time, assailant targeted the scooter rider Amit who was coming from behind, in which the scooter rider got injured and the attacker snatched the scooter and ran away.
Jaipur Police Commissioner said that the person who opened fire on Gogamedi was Naveen Singh Shaktawat, a resident of Multai Shahpura, who has died in this incident. Naveen was a textile businessman in Jaipur. Police have CCTV footage of all the accused and the incident. Both the attackers who fled from the spot are being searched and will be arrested soon.
Governor gave instructions for strict action:
Taking immediate cognizance of the incident of murder by shooting in broad daylight in the capital Jaipur, Governor Kalraj Mishra has given instructions to take strict and effective action against the criminals in this regard.
As soon as Mishra received information about the incident, he took factual information from the DGP over phone and also gave instructions to ensure law and order in the state at all levels.
He said that whoever the culprit is, strict action should be taken against him. He has also given special instructions to take effective and efficient steps by the police administration for the safety and peace of the common people.

Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat has expressed grief over this incident. In his condolence message, Shekhawat said that he is shocked by the news of the murder of Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi. In this regard, information has been taken from the Police Commissioner and he has asked for the arrest of the accused as soon as possible. Social people will have to maintain peace and patience. Making the state crime free is one of our top priorities as soon as the BJP government takes oath. May Lord Gogamedi’s soul rest in peace. May family members and supporters and well wishers get strength.
