Celebrating India’s 75th Republic Day: PM Modi

Delhi, 26 January: On this momentous occasion of the 75th Republic Day of India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has extended his heartfelt greetings to the nation. He posted on social media, “Best wishes on special occasion of the 75th Republic Day. Jai Hind!”

French President Emmanuel Macron also joined in extending his greetings to the Indian citizens.

This year, India is commemorating the adoption of its constitution on January 26, 1950, and the attainment of sovereignty with great pride and patriotism.

The theme for this year’s Republic Day, ‘Viksit Bharat’ and ‘Bharat: Loktantra ki Matruka’, symbolize the country’s aspirations and its role as the nurturer of democracy. The parade, which will commence at 10:30 a.m., will be led by an all-women Tri-Service contingent and will showcase the country’s rich cultural diversity, unity, and progress.

This year’s parade will also have women artists playing traditional Indian musical instruments for the first time. As we celebrate this momentous day, let us remember Dr BR Ambedkar, known as the ‘Father of Constitution,’ who led the drafting committee.
