Raipur, July 18: Scheduled caste-tribe youths protested naked on Tuesday against the government protection given to the accused in the government job case with the help of fake caste certificates and demanded strict action against them.
While marching towards the assembly, the police arrested the protesters. The protesters were taken into police custody and taken to the Mandir Hasaud police station.
After the formation of Chhattisgarh state, various departments of the state received complaints that people belonging to non-reserved classes were taking advantage of reserved class quotas in government jobs and political fields.
Seeing the seriousness of this matter, the state government constituted a high-level caste investigation committee. On the basis of this report, the General Administration Department issued orders to immediately remove and dismiss the officers and employees working on the basis of fake caste certificates from important posts.
However, the government order was not followed, and some of those employed on the basis of fake caste certificates retired, while others challenged the report of the inquiry committee in court. But on the list of fake certificate holders issued by the General Administration, most of the people are still serving and have also taken promotions.
Regarding this, the youth of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes opened a front and sat on fast unto death last days. But the attitude of the administration was disappointing. After which, the agitators perform naked in the monsoon session of the assembly.
