Mumbai, October 26: Amidst reports of Shiv Sena’s 50-50 formula coming to a head in Maharashtra, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has said that the next chief minister in the state will be of BJP and will remain there for five years.
Fadnavis was talking to reporters at the Chief Minister’s residence ‘Varsha’ on Saturday evening. Fadnavis’ statement came after a meeting of newly elected Shiv Sena MLAs at Matoshree (Uddhav’s residence) on Saturday.
After the meeting, Shiv Sena leader Pratap Sarnaik had said that Shiv Sena MLAs are adamant on demanding 50-50 percent participation. Along with this, all Shiv Sena MLAs are also demanding the post of Chief Minister for two and a half years in the state. Sarnaik said that unless written assurance is received from the BJP, Shiv Sena will not participate in any kind of discussion.
