CM Yogi appoints 59 IAS as nodal officers to check Covid transmission in 75 dists

Lucknow, 15 May: Preventing the spread of second wave of coronavirus infection and providing better treatment to the infected, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has appointed 59 senior IAS officers as nodal officers of the districts.

They will stay in all the districts for a week. All these nodal officers will supervise the works of the district administration to ensure the availability of oxygen beds in CHC and PHC, along with suggesting measures for prevention of corona infection.

The outbreak of the Corona epidemic is now spreading rapidly in the city as well as rural Uttar Pradesh. To curb this, Chief Minister Yogi Adityath on Saturday decided to deploy nodal officers in 75 districts in a review meeting of Team-09. Additional Chief Secretary as well as Principal Secretary and Secretary level officials will keep an eye on the work of the district administration in an effort to curb the growing coronavirus infection in the villages.

However, nodal officers will take progress reports from the district administration officer posted daily as district magistrate and sector in-charge.

Chief Secretary Rajendra Kumar Tiwari informed that nodal officers have been appointed in 75 districts. Among them, Sanjay Goyal was given Prayagraj, Randhir Prasad for Fatehpur, Sudhir Garg for Pratapgarh, Sudhir Mahadev for Kaushambi, Bhuvanesh Kumar for Jaunpur, Deepak Aggarwal for Chandauli and Varani, Sameer Verma for Ghazipur, Mo. Mustafa to Sonbhadra, Yogeshwar Ram Mishra to Sant Ravidas Nagar, Bhadohi and Mirzapur.

Similarly, Ravindra Nayak to Azamgarh, Vijay Vishwas Pant to Ballia and Mau, Jayant Narlikar to Gorakhpur, V. Hekali Jhimomi to Deoria, Panadhari Yadav to Kushinagar, Rajan Shukla Maharajganj, Mukesh Kumar Meshram to Basti and Sant Kabirnagar, Anil Kumar Sagar to Siddharthnagar, Anurag Yadav to Gonda SVS Ranga Rao to Balrampur and Shravasti, Dr. Hariom to Bahraich, T.
