At four o’clock in the morning on Monday, on the occasion of Makar Sankranti festival, the sacred pot of faith was offered to Mahayogi Gorakhnath in the Gorakhnath temple as per the rituals.

Long queues of devotees were witnessed on the streets to offer the sacred Khichdi of faith and seek blessings of Guru Gorakhnath. Extensive arrangements have also been made by the administration and temple management for these devotees.
Wishing the auspicious life of the people of the state, the Chief Minister said that on Makar Sankranti, the Sun God, who travels in twelve zodiac signs, enters from Sagittarius to Capricorn and changes from Dakshinayan to Uttarayan.
