CM Yogi gets angry over district level officials, directs to take action

Lucknow, June 10: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed strong displeasure over the negligence in the disposal of public grievances.

He has directed to take action against the district level officers for their negligence in the disposal of public grievances.

Chief Minister Yogi will soon review the public hearing, IGRS and CM Helpline through video conferencing.

In this regard, the Chief Secretary has issued orders to all the officers up to the district and commissionerate level.

CM Yogi had recently directed the Chief Secretary and Director General of Police that the District Magistrates and the Police Chiefs should be sensitive towards prompt and satisfactory resolution of public problems. Public’s applications should be disposed of in a time bound manner.

Even before this, the Chief Minister has also given instructions through video conferencing from time to time for timely disposal of public grievances. Marking such districts, tehsils and police stations etc., warning has also been given to the district level officers.

Orders for special review of identified tehsils and police stations

The Chief Secretary has said in the order that CM Yogi will soon conduct video conferencing for public hearing, review of IGRS and CM Helpline. If there is no quality and speedy disposal of public grievances received on IGRS and CM helpline, then strict action will be taken by fixing the responsibility of the concerned officers.

He has ordered that such marked tehsils and police stations should be specially reviewed and if needed, they should be visited and disposed of according to the standard. Orders have also been given to take action against the erring employees for giving complaint more than once by the complainant.

Solve public problems met by public representatives on priority

The Chief Secretary has ordered to sort out the problems of public representatives on priority at the time of public hearing, to hold fortnightly and monthly meetings with public representatives and to solve the problems positively. Apart from this, orders have been given to the senior officers to answer themselves on the government CUG number and also to be in touch with the public representatives over the telephone.

Top 10 performing best and worst districts

Pilibhit, Etah, Moradabad, Banda, Sambhal, Sitapur, Unnao, Bahraich, Farrukhabad and Amethi are among the top ten best performing districts apart from police in resolving complaints received on IGRS in the month of May, while Prayagraj is among the worst performing districts including Raebareli, Pratapgarh, Basti, Mirzapur, Kaushambi, Sonbhadra, Bhadohi, Meerut and Ayodhya.

The districts that performed well in the police department in May are Siddharthnagar, Bhadohi, Farrukhabad, Mahoba, Saharanpur, Ghazipur, Shamli, Kasganj, Sonbhadra and Jalaun. The worst performing districts are Police Commissioner Lucknow, SSP Prayagraj, Agra, Commissioner of Police Kanpur City, SSP Mainpuri, Sambhal, Kanpur Dehat, Pratapgarh, Kheri and Gorakhpur.
