CM Yogi inaugurates 3-day Shri Anna Mahotsav in Lucknow

Lucknow, 27 October: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the three-day Shri Anna Mahotsav and state level Shri Anna Exhibition and Workshop at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan here on Friday.

On this occasion, Chief Minister Yogi gave an assistance amount of Rs. 4 lakh each as a prize to the progressive farmers (Farmer Producer Organizations) associated with food grains and Rs. 95-95 lakh were given to Krishi Vigyan Kendras.

Addressing the program, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that by bringing comprehensive changes in agriculture and agricultural research, we will bring change in the lives of farmers. This Shri Anna Mahotsav will prove to be a milestone in this direction.

He said that food grains have been useful since the Vedic period. Only such marked food can be used during the fast. Its importance is also described in our Vedas. The goal was to produce more with less farming. It has been completed. This is possible due to the hard work of our scientists. Very little water is required to produce most grains.

He said that the effect of Prime Minister Modi’s efforts is that almost every family in India has started using some form of food. Thanks also to those sisters who have prepared beautiful and delicious dishes from the grains. People are taking interest in food.

Earlier, Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi said that due to the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, today the whole world is accepting it whether it is the cultivation of coarse grains or yoga. It is good for health. About 60 crore people are consuming coarse grains. Western countries have also accepted it.

Shahi added our farmers are benefiting from the increase in demand for coarse grains. In the cultivation of coarse grains, the requirement of fertilizer and water is less. If the cost of farming comes down, the
profit will be higher.
