In the grand program, the Chief Minister transferred the amount in the form of scholarship to the bank accounts of Sanskrit students by clicking the computer mouse. This is the first time in Uttar Pradesh when scholarships were given simultaneously to students from Prathama to Acharya.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the government will now recognize only those institutions that revive the tradition of Gurukul, Sanskrit, which will provide good hostel and food to the students free of cost. This step is aimed at reviving the Gurukul tradition and preserving Indian culture. The Chief Minister described the Sanskrit language as the voice of the energy of Indian culture.
He said that there should be a provision of scholarship for poor and helpless children, but the neglect of Sanskrit language is beyond comprehension. Till now only 300 children of Sanskrit have been provided scholarship. There should be a provision of scholarship for all the children from Prathama to Acharya of Sanskrit. For this, Sanskrit schools will have to make efforts by completing the formalities of filling the forms of the children etc.
The Chief Minister said that no effort was ever made in the state to get the Sanskrit Council recognized. I tried again and again to understand why children are running away from Sanskrit, then it came to know that the schools are not getting recognition. We restored the recognition of schools and colleges. When our government came, we got the Sanskrit Council recognized in 2017. Earlier Sanskrit students did not get scholarships, then age limit was added to it. We decided that every student should get scholarship.
He said that now the number of students studying Sanskrit is increasing continuously in the state. Sanskrit is not only ‘Devvaani’ (the language of Gods), but it is also a medium to solve all the problems of the physical world in a scientific way. There is a need to do research on it.
Chief Minister said that to understand the importance of Sanskrit, we have to absorb its energy within us. Which can be felt in the Mangalacharan and Swasti Vachan of this ceremony.
The Chief Minister said that even modern technology considers Sanskrit to be the simplest language. He remembered Maharishi Arvind with the establishment of Vedic Science Center in BHU and promotion of research in Sanskrit. Referring to the 75 thousand manuscripts preserved in Sampurnanand Sanskrit University, the Chief Minister said that it is necessary to preserve ancient copper plates and manuscripts, in which the government will provide full cooperation.
He said that Sanskrit established India as a world leader. Due to this, even in adverse conditions, our Sanatan culture is alive today despite facing many difficulties. Today, Sanskrit, culture and Indian civilization have stood up under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to guide the world.
In the ceremony, the state’s Higher Education Minister Yogendra Upadhyay said that India is the land of culture, spiritual consciousness and if Sanskrit is not safe then the culture will be in danger. Sanskrit is the language of Vedas and without knowing it, it will be difficult to know the culture of India. He said that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s attention is constantly in this direction.
