Gorakhpur, 6 April: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath performed ‘Kanya Pujan’ on Sunday on the ninth day of Chaitra (Vasantik) Navratri as per the tradition of Goraksha Peeth in Gorakhpur.
In the ‘Kanya Pujan’ program organized in the Anna Kshetra of Gorakhnath temple as a part of the rituals of the ninth date of the Chaitra Navratri, also known as the Ram Navratri concludes on the auspicious occasion of Ramnavami which marks the birthday of Lord Ram- the king of Ayodhya.
During this, Yogi also asked math caretakers that there should be no shortage of food in the plate of any girl or boy. Regarding this, he kept instructing the people associated with the management of the temple.
During the worship, Jagadguru Swami Santosh Das alias Satua Baba, who came from Kashi, Gorakhnath temple’s chief priest Yogi Kamal Nath, along with many saints and people associated with the temple management were present. Before the Kanya Pujan, in the morning worship session, Maa Siddhidatri was worshipped with rituals in the Shaktipeeth of the temple.
