CM Yogi performs ‘Kanya Pujan’ rituals in Gorakhpur

Gorakhpur, 23 October: On the ninth date of Shardiya Navratri, a special occasion of worship of ‘Ma Adishakti’, Gorakshpeethadhishwar and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath performed ‘Kanya Pujan’ of nine girls, who symbolized nine forms of the Goddess Durga, in Gorakhpur on Monday.

In the ‘Kanya Puja’ ritual on Monday morning, the Chief Minister traditionally washed the feet of nine girls with water filled in a brass vessel and a silver pot with reverence in the dining room located on the first floor of the math, applied ’tilak’, performed ‘aarti’ and took blessings by offering chunari, giving gifts and dakshina.

After the puja, Yogi served fresh food cooked in the temple kitchen to these girls and more than a hundred girls and small children with his own hands. Apart from the nine girls, hundreds of girls and boys who had arrived were also fed with devotion and given gifts and Dakshina.

The Chief Minister after washing the feet of nine ‘Kanyas’ ( girls of age above 3 and below 11) and worshiped them. During this time, everyone was very happy after receiving Dakshina from the hands of CM.

While serving food, CM Yogi kept talking and joking with the children. Also keep in mind that there should be no shortage of food offerings in the plate of any boy or girl.

Regarding this, he kept directing the people associated with the arrangements of the temple.
