CM Yogi to kick off Gomti Book Festival on Nov 9 in Lucknow, also to inaugurate Dev Deepawali festival on Nov 15 in Kashi

Lucknow, 08 November: Lucknow’s District Magistrate (DM) Suryapal Gangwar told that Gomti Book Festival is going to be organized in Gomti Riverfront Park from November 9 to November 17 from 11 am to 8 pm. It will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at 9 am on November 9.

The District Magistrate told in a press conference that National Book Trust’s Chairman Prof. Milind Sudhakar Marathe and Director Yuvraj Malik will be specially present in Gomti Book Festival. Booklovers of Lucknow are welcome in this book festival, this festival has free entry for all. There will be competitions and cultural programs in the festival.

Municipal Corporation instructed to pay special attention to cleanliness

Varanasi, 08 November: Preparations are going on for Dev Deepawali festival (November 15) in the religious city of Kashi. This time the main program of Dev Deepawali festival will be held at Namo Ghat, in which the Chief Minister of the state Yogi Adityanath will also participate. In the inauguration program, along with various cultural programs, a separate fireworks will also be organized at Namo Ghat. From here, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and other guests will board a cruise and watch the Dev Deepawali event. Regarding this, Commissioner, (Varanasi Division) Kaushal Raj Sharma held a review meeting with the officers on Friday.

In the meeting, the Commissioner said that the Municipal Corporation should run a special cleaning campaign on the Ganga Ghats and put the cleaning staff on duty. Along with removing the silt deposited on the Ghat, there should also be proper lighting arrangements. Apart from the entire city, proper arrangements for lighting should also be made in the main streets.

The commissioner asked to send stray animals to shelters, install public address system, clean jetties and place them at appropriate places, and make boarding points at Namo Ghat, Rajghat, Samne Ghat and Ravidas Park.

He also enquired about the preparations for Kashi Ganga Mahotsav to be held between 12-14 November at Assi Ghat. The commissioner said that boats in Ganga should be operated with special caution keeping the safety of tourists paramount.

Projection show at Chet Singh Ghat

This time the main program on Dev Deepawali festival will be organized at Namo Ghat. The projection show will be organized at Chet Singh Ghat and fireworks will be organized in front of Vishwanath temple. The commissioner also enquired about its preparations.

On the festival, the commissioner asked to install single color spiral lights at Babatpur airport and other places in the city, complete lighting at government buildings and also make proper arrangements for lighting at business establishments by holding a meeting with trade organizations.
