Lucknow, 24 Aug: In a bizarre incident, a car carrying an Uttar Pradesh minister drove right to the platform of the Lucknow railway station, where the minister needed to catch a train.

Uttar Pradesh Animal Husbandry Minister Dharampal Singh Saini was scheduled to travel from Lucknow to Bareilly on the Howrah Amritsar Express. The train arrives at Charbagh railway station’s platform number four. The minister’s automobile did not stop at the station’s entrance, but instead drove onto the station platform through a wheelchair ramp (designed for disabled passengers). After exiting the automobile, the minister took the escalator.

Dharampal Singh explained that it was pouring badly and he was late, which is why his automobile entered the platform and parked near the escalator.

Meanwhile, some said that the minister did not want to go to the platform, therefore his automobile was parked near the escalator. The minister made it on time to the train, but his actions caused great confusion among passengers.
