Lucknow, 12 May: Covid-19 cases have been steadily falling in Uttar Pradesh. In the last 24 hours, 18,125 fresh cases of novel coronavirus have been registered. At the same time, 26,712 people have become healthy and discharged from various hospitals, this information was given by Team-09 on Wednesday in a review meeting with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
The officials said that currently there are 2,06,615 active cases across the state, which is about 01 lakh 04 thousand less than the peak of infection of 3.10 lakh in the state. This decrease in infection occurred in 11 days from April 30 to May 11 is satisfactory.
So far, 13 lakh 40 thousand 251 people have defeated Covid-19. At the same time, 45100,000 tests have been done. There are currently 1, 52,725 people in home isolation.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Yogi gave instructions to speed up the process of increasing the testing capacity of the laboratories.
He said that districts should be given a target of collecting 1.50 lakh samples daily and sending them to laboratories. He said that for speedy recovery of home isolation patients, the system of medical counselling should be further improved through tele-consultations. There is a need to increase the number of doctors, the number of phone lines.
Yogi said that through monitoring committees, medical kits should be made available to patients of home isolation and their families as per the need. Continuous monitoring of medical kit distribution system should be done. Communicate with patients through ICCC and CM Helpline and check the facilities available to them.
Directing the officials, Yogi said that special arrangements should be made for not a single citizen of the state to be deprived of Covid vaccine cover. To ensure vaccination of illiterate, disabled, destitute or other needy people, it will be convenient to provide vaccination registration at the Common Service Centre. Necessary arrangements should be made in this regard. To ensure that no unnecessary crowd is gathered at the CHC for registration, the Covid protocols should be followed.
He informed that through ‘PM Cares’, approval has been received to set up oxygen plants in all districts of the state. The Government of India has sought proposals for setting up plants at all government hospitals operating at district headquarters. It is appropriate to immediately send proposals for setting up of Oxygen plant at district hospitals, women hospitals, CHC level functioning at district headquarters. In this way, the establishment of 161 new oxygen plants in collaboration with PM Cares will prove to be very useful in the future.
On this occasion, the officials apprised the Chief Minister that all necessary steps are being taken to improve the supply of oxygen relative to the demand in the state. In the last 24 hours, 1014.53 metric tonnes of oxygen has been distributed. In this, 619 MT of oxygen was made available to refillers and 313 MT of oxygen to medical colleges.
