Nainital, August 28: The District and Session court Judge Rajiv Kumar Khulbey on Friday dismissed the bail plea of a Muslim man ​​for uploading obscene and objectionable posts on the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Lord Rama over social media.

He told that the accused Shahzad Khan son of Khalil Ahmad is a resident of Line number 8, Azad Nagar Vanbhulpura.

On August 12, Suchit Pandey resident Anand Vihar Talli Haldwani filed a police complaint against Shahzad after which the Police arrested the culprit on August 12.

The accused also confessed to the crime. The post also appeared on his mobile phone’s Facebook account.

Government advocate Sharma told the court that the accused is a person of criminal mindset. A case has been registered against him under Section 323, 504 and 506 of Bhadansam in Haldwani police station in the year 2013 also. His latest crime is against the country along with the whole society and it also had the possibility of damaging communal harmony. On this, the court rejected the bail application of the accused.
