Covid-19: Allahabad High Court extends life of interim orders till Feb 28

Prayagraj, January 19: The Allahabad High Court has taken suo moto cognizance of all the interim orders of the High Court and all the courts, tribunals and semi-judicial forums of the state under its control till February 28, in view of the increasing coronavirus infection across the state.

Similarly, the High Court has also extended the period of bail, anticipatory bail or other orders in the meantime. Not only this, the High Court has ordered that in the meantime, due to corona infection, the execution of orders like eviction, eviction or demolition of the building will be banned till February 28.

The court has ordered the state government, bodies, agencies, government machinery to slow down the eviction and demolition proceedings till February 28. Along with this, banks and financial institutions have been barred from conducting any kind of auction till February 28.

The court has said that if action is urgent, then the order can be obtained after hearing the parties by applying in the competent court.

The court has directed to send the copy of the order to all the institutions and circulate it in the media so that people can get information about it. This order has been given by a division bench of Chief Justice Rajesh Bindal and Justice Piyush Agrawal on public interest litigation (PIL) in view of the Covid 19 infection.
