Covid-19: Now high-rise building to be sealed for 14 days instead of 21 days if Covid-19 case is found in UP

Lucknow, June 14: The number of active coronavirus cases in the state has now increased to 4,948 in 75 districts.

At the same time, 8,268 persons have been returned home after recovering completely.

In the last 24 hours, 499 new cases of virus infection have been reported in the state.

Apart from this, a total of 399 deaths due to SARS-CoV-2 responsible for Covid-19 have occurred in the state so far.

4.56 lakh swab samples have been tested so far

Principal Secretary, Health and Family Welfare Amit Mohan Prasad said on Sunday that a record 15,762 corona samples were tested on Saturday. Earlier, 14,236 samples were tested on Friday, 15,607 on Thursday, 15,079 on Wednesday, 13,264 on Tuesday and 12,666 samples on Monday. With this, so far 4, 56,213 samples have been tested in various laboratories in the state.

At present the rate of recovery from corona in the state is 60.72 percent.

Testing of various samples through 1,233 pools

He said that a total of different samples were tested on Saturday through 1,233 pools.

โ€œFive samples per pool were tested through 1,134 pools. Among them 154 came out positive. Ten samples per pool were tested through 99 pools. Of these, the reports of 09 pools came positive. Earlier on Friday, a total of different samples were tested through 1,241 pools. Five samples per pool were tested through 1,125 pools. At the same time, ten samples per pool were tested through 116 pools,โ€ Prasad apprised.

Prasad further added that a total of 6,640 samples were tested through 1,238 pools on Thursday. Five samples per pool were tested through 1,148 pools. Ten samples per pool were tested through 90 pools. Various samples were tested through 1,332 pools on Wednesday. Five samples were tested per pool through 1,248 pools, of which 164 pools were positive. At the same time, ten samples were tested per pool through 84 pools, in which 07 pools came positive, PS Health told.

โ€œVarious samples were tested through 1,170 pools on Tuesday. Five samples per pool were tested through 1,082 pools, out of which 124 pools came positive. At the same time, ten samples were tested through 88 pools, in which 11 pools came positive,โ€ Principal Secretary added.  

โ€œOn Monday, various samples were tested through 1,054 pools. Five samples per pool were tested through 965 pools. At the same time, ten samples were tested per pool through 89 pools,โ€ officer told.

79,582 people call from control room regarding Aarogya Setu app

He informed that the alerts received by those who downloaded the ‘Aarogya Setu’ app in the state, are being sent to the respective districts. At the same time, people who have come in contact with the infected people are being informed about it. So far, 79,582 people have been called. They were provided proper advice.

ASHA workers reach 16, 23,087 migrant workers’ homes

Principal Secretary, Health said that 16, 23,087 migrant workers have been visited by the ASHA workers so far. Samples have been sent for corona testing of those people who have seen some symptom.

Health teams reach among 4.66 crore people

He informed that the health department teams are constantly reaching out and surveying people in different areas. Till date, 1, 20,661 teams have surveyed 4, 66, 10,850 people across 91, 48,721 households in a total of 17,493 areas, including 5,519 hotspot and 11,974 non-hotspot areas.

The multi-storey building will now be sealed for 14 days on getting the infection

โ€œA detailed guideline for the treatment of corona infected patients has been released by the Government of India tomorrow. It has been shared with all the doctors of the state, so that they can get help in the treatment,โ€ Prasad pointed out.  

He said that earlier multi-storey building was being sealed for 21 days if any case of coronavirus was reported, but, now rule has been amended and now if any case of infection is reported in any multi-storey building, then that building will be sealed for only 14 days.
