Lucknow, Jan 31: In the country’s largest populous state Uttar Pradesh, all people above 18 years of age have received the first vaccine for Covid. The state with 15 crore 74 lakh adult population achieved this target on Monday within the time-limit fixed by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
CM Yogi Adityanath himself tweeted about the success of this important goal. Describing it as historic, the CM has said that under the able guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttar Pradesh. The protection cover of the first dose of Covid vaccine has been provided to 100% eligible population in the state. Together we will definitely win this war against Corona.
According to the latest situation in the Uttar Pradesh, which is being appreciated across the country for the strategy of rapid Covid immunization programme, over 26 crores 14 lakh vaccines have been administered so far. In UP, 100% of the adult population has received the first dose of the vaccine, while 70% of the population has received both the vaccines.
Meanwhile, more than 68 percent of the adolescents of the state have become safe in the vaccine, while as on January 31, out of 1,318,206 health workers, frontline workers and senior citizens who are eligible for pre-caution dose, 98.02 percent have received the booster dose till Sunday.
The speed of the third wave is stopping, 1.80 lakh tests, only 6626 patients found
The pace of the third wave of coronavirus in the state seems to be stopping. According to the latest situation, while there is a decline in the daily positivity rate, the number of new cases and active cases is also decreasing day by day.
In the last 24 hours, 01 lakh 80 thousand 978 corona sample tests were done, in which 6,626 new corona patients were confirmed. In the same period, 6,946 people were treated and became corona free.
At present, the total active cases are 54 thousand 836. More than 98% of these people are recovering at home with minor symptoms. There is a steady decline in the active case and positivity rate. These are good signs.
According to health experts, this infection is like the common flu. Therefore, there is no need to be afraid of this, but there is a need to be cautious. CM has given instructions that people should be made aware to follow the Covid protocols.
