Lucknow, 16 March: Vaccination drive against coronavirus disease is being carried out at a rapid pace across the state. So far, more than 3 million vaccinations have been done.
At the same time, in the cases of Adverse Event Following Immunization (AEFI) during vaccinations, the negligence of any employee, officer will lead to his or her suspension with immediate effect.
Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) Medical, Health and Family Welfare Amit Mohan Prasad gave these instructions in the meeting on Tuesday.
He said that to maintain the country’s first position in corona immunization programme at the national level, the vaccination centers should be increased. Along with this, he instructed to remain active to stabilize the number one status of the state on e-Sanjeevani portal.
ACS Medical and Health instructed the centers to be vigilant in dealing with the beneficiaries in the vaccination program for corona immunization.
He said that this is a big task of the Health Department in the state’s interest, in which patience and gentle behaviour is very expected.
During the discussion in the meeting, the Additional Chief Secretary directed that the first shot of the vaccine given to the beneficiaries should be provided the second dose of the same vaccine and the sequence should be firmly ensured.
He said that during the vaccination, if any employee or officer is found negligent in cases of AEFI, then he or she should be suspended with immediate effect.
He also instructed the vaccine to control the unnecessary wastage, as well as the system of essentially destroying the vial four hours after opening. He also instructed to arrange more and more centers to make vaccination accessible.
