Lucknow, 29 December: Amid rising surge in corona cases in the state capital, the health department has fixed the fee for its tests.
Now private lab operators will be able to take samples from home and charge a maximum of Rs 900 for RT-PCR test. The maximum fee for visiting the lab for a person will be Rs 700. On sending the sample to a private lab on behalf of the prescribed authority, the fee will be Rs 500. The department will ensure strict compliance of the fixed fees.
The health department has also fixed the prices of TrueNat and Antigen tests along with RT-PCR. Rs 250 for antigen test and a maximum of Rs 250 for TrueNat test has been fixed. If the sample is taken from home, then an additional fee of Rs 200 will be charged.
The fees for CT scan have also been fixed. Maximum Rs 2,000 for CT scan of 16 slices, Rs 2,250 for 16 to 64 slices and Rs 2,500 for more than 64 slices will have to be paid.
Chief Medical Officer Dr Manoj Aggarwal said that strict action will be taken against the lab operator under the Pandemic Act for non-compliance of the fixed fees. Orders have been issued to strictly follow the fixed fees under which there should be no arbitrary recovery in the name of investigation in private labs. Both vigilance and scope of investigation are being increased in the capital regarding Corona.
