Lucknow, March 30: The Uttar Pradesh government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has made historic improvements in the field of law and order in the last eight years. Since 2017, a massive decline of up to 85 percent has been recorded in heinous crimes like robbery, loot, riot, murder, kidnapping and rape in the state.
Due to the zero tolerance policy of the government, there has been a massive improvement in the law and order of Uttar Pradesh. Along with this, the noose has been tightened on mafia and hooliganism.
- Huge reduction in major crimes
According to police records, there has been a significant decline in various criminal incidents during the tenure of the Yogi government. There has been an 84.41 percent reduction in robbery incidents as compared to 2016.
Apart from this, robbery cases have reduced by 77.43 percent. Along with this, a decrease has also been seen in the incidents of kidnapping, dowry murder and rape. Apart from this, the activism of the police and modern techniques like CCTV surveillance have played an important role in catching the criminals.
The Yogi government has taken action on a large scale against the mafias, gangsters and land mafia of the state. Under this, movable and immovable illegal properties worth more than Rs 142 billion have been seized. At the same time, cases have been registered against 68 mafias and their about one and a half thousand associates. While 617 criminals have been arrested. Apart from this, Gangster Act has been imposed on 752.

The government spokesperson said that during the tenure of the Yogi government, Uttar Pradesh has not only progressed in terms of development, but has also set a new example on the law and order front. The activism of the police administration, technological upgradation and strict laws have crushed the criminals. Every citizen of Uttar Pradesh feels safe in the Yogi government. This is the biggest achievement of the government.
