Crime: Youth arrested for making indecent remarks against PM Modi, CM Yogi

Gorakhpur, March 21: The Gorakhpur police team on Monday arrested an accused Akash Yadav, son of Ramashish Yadav for making indecent remarks against Prime Minister Modi and caretaker Chief Minister Yogi from Bangalore, who is a resident of Padania under Gola police station area. However five of his accomplices have fled.

In the auditorium of Police Lines, Superintendent of Police (SP) South Arun Kumar Singh told in a press conference on Monday that five persons had uploaded the video on social media on March 10 and made indecent remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, MP and MLA of Bansgaon.Caste words were also used.

β€œOn the instructions of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Vipin Tada, a case was registered under section 66 of the SC-ST Act and IT Act at Gola police station. The police team was sent to Bangalore, Karnataka for the arrest of the identified accused from where Akash Yadav son Ramashish Yadav was arrested,” Singh said.  

He further added that Golu Yadav son Swasdaphal Yadav, Sandeep Yadav son Swasdaphal Yadav, Pakai Yadav son Swamendra Yadav, Yashkamal Yadav son Ranvijay Yadav and Krishna Yadav son Ramdavar Yadav, who came to light in this case, escaped. Police will arrest them very soon.

The SSP has announced a reward of Rs 25,000 for the arresting team. A reward of Rs 25,000 each has also been announced against the absconding accused. The arresting team included Inspector-in-Charge Police Station Gola Rahul Kumar Singh, Sub-Inspector Jairam Yadav, Constable Arun Pandey and Hiran Singh Yadav.
