Lucknow, 30 Oct (HS): Officials stated on Monday that a known criminal with a Rs 25,000 bounty for his apprehension was slain in a confrontation with police in Ghaziabad.
According to authorities, police set up a roadblock in the Masoori police station area late Sunday night and instructed two people arriving on a motorcycle to halt.
According to the police, the two motorbike riders fled and opened fire on the cops, wounding a sub-inspector.
According to them, one of them was injured in retaliatory shooting while the other managed to leave.
According to an official, the injured person was brought to a hospital where he died while undergoing treatment. He was recognized as Jitendra, and he had 12 cases filed against him. He was wanted in connection with a robbery on October 27 in which a student died.
The police stated that a reward of Rs 25,000 has been issued for his apprehension.
