Lucknow, June 18 : Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary Dr. Anup Chandra Pandey has issued a circular to all the Commissioners and the District Magistrates to fix the responsibility and work of the concerned departments to prevent communicable disease.
It may be recalled that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed to run the second phase of communicable disease control campaign from 1st July to 31 July for the prevention and cure of communicable disease. To make the campaign successful in highly effected 38 districts, he has directed to fix department wise responsibility of the officers of Medical and Health department, Urban Development, Panchayati Raj Department, Rural development, Animal Husbandry, Child development and Nutrition, Medical education, Disabled welfare department, Social welfare, Agriculture and Irrigation department.
However, Pandey said that while running the campaign in all 75 districts from 1st July to 31st July for the prevention of communicable diseases, the activities run in the month of February, 2019 should be re-organised and detail action plan to be made to make it more emphatic.
He laid special emphasis on cleaning, garbage disposal, water supply and availability of potable water, so that all departments should also make a comprehensive action plan to publicize relevant information and behavior change and all the information should be made easily available to the common citizens.
He said that for the prevention of diseases it is necessary to take action together by establishing co-ordination committee sat district and block level in order to review the status of the disease in district.
He further said that he will act as a Nodal officer to monitor the regular progress of the work done in the ‘Communicable Disease Prevention Month’ by Gram Pradhans, BDOs, Teachers, VDOs etc.
He added that 100 percent participation of Gram Pradhans should be ensured in all development block of 75 districts by organizing special monthly meeting of Gram Pradhan from 25th to 30th June in view to control communicable diseases and brain fever. He further directed that VDOs in co-ordination with Block medical officers should run various necessary activities to increase awareness regarding cleanliness, Prevention by Brain fever and communicable diseases among the students and also to provide equipment to the disabled students.
He said to setup special class to provide necessary information to prevent brain fever and other communicable diseases. He also said that poster of necessary information should be provided at the majors places of the schools.
Dr. Pandey said that the launch program of communicable diseases prevention campaign should be started by In-charge Ministers, Members of Parliament, MLAs by local representatives, commissioners and District Magistrates at every level. He also directed for the Photography and videography of Communicable disease prevention campaign.
