Chief Minister said that curfew has been imposed in some areas of Nagpur, but the situation is completely under control. The Chief Minister said that large-scale foreign investment is taking place in Maharashtra, so it is everyone’s responsibility to maintain peace in Maharashtra.
Chief Minister said that on Monday morning, a protest was held against Aurangzeb’s tomb and a symbolic effigy of Aurangzeb’s tomb was burnt. After this, some social organizations had registered a case in this regard. After this, there was complete peace, but in the evening suddenly a rumor was spread that while burning the symbolic effigy of Aurangabad’s tomb, the symbol of a particular religion was also burnt. After this, stone pelting started in Mahal, Hansapuri and Bhaladara areas. 31 police personnel and 5 civilians have been injured in this incident. Three DCP level officers are among the injured policemen.
Chief Minister said that the people involved in the violence are being arrested on the basis of CCTV and videos. The Chief Minister said that the police have recovered more than half a trolley of stones and sharp weapons from the crime scenes, which shows that all this was done in a planned manner. Therefore, the state government will not tolerate the attack on the police at any cost. Strict action will be taken against the accused.
